Generative AI is used only to assist coding and UI design. The app’s discovery and recommendation intelligence uses non-generative technology, including machine learning for audio analysis.

Building with artists in mind
The longer-term ambition is a home for fan arrangements, original soundtracks, remixes and game-inspired music, with artist submissions and properly authorised official releases.
That is a direction we want to explore, not a claim about what is available today. We would value artists’ perspectives on discovery, attribution and what a useful platform should offer them.

Built by a long-time OC ReMix fan who wanted an easier way to discover music and remember what they loved.
A small team of three
We are an engineer, an artist and an independent tester, working together to bring Side Quest to life. AI-assisted coding made it practical to get the project off the ground and continues to support its development.
Still taking shape
The Android app and web experience are in development with invited testers. A wider launch will depend on product readiness, permissions and legal review.
